official release of his long-in-the-making quartet CD, Eduardo de Rosamaria Cuarteto
de Guitarras. Released in September 2026, this dynamic recording represents a
culmination quarter-of-a-century in the making, featuring multi-guitar ensemble
arrangements of iconic classical masterworks alongside evocative modern compositions.

Artist Overview & Biography
Edward Stephenson (performing professionally as Eduardo de Rosamaria) is a Canadian-born classical guitarist, recording artist, composer, and music educator based in North Carolina. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Stephenson began his professional performance career at sixteen, touring across North America as a classical and flamenco guitarist.

Stephenson’s technique and repertoire bridge rigorous classical conservatory training with traditional Spanish flamenco and contemporary Latin fusion (Nuevo Flamenco). He completed formal studies under master classical guitarists, receiving advanced music credentials from the premier Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA).

Over a career spanning multiple decades, Stephenson has performed as a solo concert artist, chamber musician, bandleader, and featured orchestral soloist. In addition to his performance career, he has served on the music faculties of several higher education institutions in North Carolina, including Meredith College, Methodist University, and the University of Mount Olive.
